The preferred way to install emping is through Cabal, for example: $ runhaskell Setup.lhs configure --prefix=$HOME $ runhaskell Setup.lhs build $ runhaskell Setup.lhs install where the commands might need to follow: /usr/bin/env depending on your settings.
