"Big Picture" Plan
Broadly, in year 1 we tackle making lazy versions of visualisation algorithms. In year 2, we make them polytypic (independent of data representation), with appropriate automatic specialisation once actual types are known. In year 3, we grid-enable the algorithms, to parallelise them across whatever computational resources are available.

Mode of Working
Malcolm and Rita will have working meetings roughly every two weeks. Between these, each will have local meetings with Colin and David respectively. Once a quarter, we will have a full meeting with all members of the team, to review progress and set goals for the following quarter.
