I am trying to install cabal-install, and it ended with: 

Sorry, something went wrong.

It would have been helpful if it had instead said 

Sorry,  the 'cabal' executable was not successfully installed into '/usr/local/stow/ghc-6.10.4-from-srctarball/bin/'.

Thanks, suggestion taken.

For future reference, Cabal tickets should be filed in the Cabal/Hackage trac, not the ghc one.
