HaskellDirect is a tool that allows direct translation from IDL to Haskell. The problem is that currently it is seriously ill. The generated code is often full of both runtime and compile errors. The generated code is using a COM interop library which was developed before the current FFI addendum and doesn't conform to it very well. I have developed an initial replacement for the library that I intend to use in Visual Haskell.
