1571	A simple reddit-like happs-based proposal voting app for group idea tracking and commentary	fallintothis "This is a copy of the Haskell Proposals subreddit [http://www.reddit.com/r/haskell_proposals/comments/7u48x/a_simple_redditlike_happsbased_proposal_voting/ post] of the same title by Don Stewart. The title pretty much sums it up. For a better feel for the idea, you can simply use the Haskell [http://www.reddit.com/r/haskell subreddit].

I'm not sure of this proposal's appropriateness as a Summer of Code project, as the community benefit might be small because reddit already exists. But, in the interest of using tools centered around Haskell and not fracturing the community (in whatever irrelevantly small way) as they feel compelled to sign up over at reddit, this project seems like it might be worthwhile. Even being able to tailor the application specifically for the Haskell community seems like a good idea (though again maybe not worth a SoC project).

There's plenty of work to be done for a summer, there are existing sites (plus their code, e.g. [http://code.reddit.com/ reddit] and [http://arclanguage.org/install news.ycombinator]) as sources of ideas, and the Haskell code would be relatively easy to get started (and continue working) on."	proposed-project	closed	bad	wontfix Web Development	unknown	not-accepted
